Now where did I put that darned phone?
So I get back to my home office after a noon lunch meeting today and realize I've lost my smartphone. Did the usual backtracking, including driving back to the restaurant. Probably right where I was sitting. Nope, no phone there.
Back home to place a call to Sprint to track the phone using their "Family Locator" service. You place a call to your phone from another phone, and on the Sprint website the system shows you a screen map (using GPS) where your lost phone is.
There it was, on top of my car. GPS tracked my phone to my garage.
Yep, I had driven back to the restaurant with the phone on top of the car! I had put it there for some reason when I originally got home from the lunch meeting. The old Subaru's luggage rack combined with Sprint technology served me unbelievably well.
What are the odds?
